JUST SO YOU KNOW

You're the kind of friend who give another friend a call when somethings up.
You're the kind of friend who tells you the truth even if it can hurt.
You're the kind of friend whom many people trust.
You're the kind of friend that many people look up to.
You're the kind of friend whom everyone goes to when they have a problem.
You're the kind of friend that takes time to listen.
You're the kind of friend that has advice to give.
You're the kind of friend that cares.

There are some people out there that fail to realize this.
&& I put this up publicly to show
how much you have been a blessing in my life.
You know who you are.
Everyone knows who you are too.

CHILLAX WEEKEND

FRIDAY
I saw RJ so many times
Thank's Ate Aarika for the devotional book and journal, I really think it's going to help :)

After school, I walked to Aloha BBQ with Gail, Nigel, and Azzedine. And I saw RJ there too! Ate food, then walked to Mark's house. Played brawl; I was the first one to die at every single game because they all decided to kill me first. Wii Controlers suck! I prefer Nintendo 64 controller! I tried to understand Poker, but no. Felicia explained games that we're confusing. Then, went upstairs, but they wouldn't let us in. Came back couple minutes later and watched them play street fighter.

Gail and Nigel left to get ping pong balls. Mark farted loud. Went outside to play waterpong. But I had to leave when we just got started. I went to get a sim card for my new old phone. Then, I got yogurtland!

SATURDAY
I was extremely happy seeing Ate Helen, Ben, Kuya Mike, Kuya Leon, Kuya Buzz, and Derek at my Confirmation ceremony. God knows what's in my heart (:

Later, my brother dropped me off at Jay's house, but neither Jay nor Neil was even there. I watched Randy and Yeong(sp?) play PS3. Then, Neil and Danny came. When, Jay came, we went to the Garage to play Soda Pong. The cups were half full and It was mixed strawberry and grape soda. That's a lot to take in. We lost because one of our cups fell. I watched people play basketball, and then I watched the Bulls vs. Celtics game. Bulls lost ):

Then, the fight was about to begin. Everyone crowded around a not so large tv, that was on the floor of the garage. This guy spilled broke a beer bottle while opening it and everyone blamed it on Randy. Everyone was saying "OH!" at every hit. At the end of round 1, Neil was like "Everyone, Twitter this moment!" Dude, I have no signal in his house. Round 2, it was over, and we were just waiting for Pacquio's interview.

After, I watched some people get buck like this guy Charles, Neil, Bryan, and Elvis. Then, I watched a game of Soda Pong. I went over to the grass when the game was over and they were playing truth or dare. "Have you ever been to 3rd base" "What are the bases?" "She hasn't even been to the parking lot." "Do you remember what happened exactly last year?"

ACCOMPLISHED

Here's the whole story, minus some parts I don't remember.
I walk into my parents room, my dad is snoring and my mom is rustling in the bed.
I tell my mom that she's going to get mad at me for what I was going to say.
I say that I'm not sure if I am able to get all my hours done for confirmation.
She says "Oh, you're not even sure yet, why?"
I say "But, I don't want to be confirmed."
Her "A WHAAAA. Why?"
I tell her I'm not catholic.
She starts waking up my dad.
My dad asks me why I'm being like this.
I say that I'm a christian and that it was my choice.
My mom laughs and says "someone told you to say that, I knew that bible study was no good, I thought it was catholic"
I told her that it wasn't a catholic bible study in the very beginning and she never asked me if it was a catholic bible study, she asked me if my catholic friends attended.
My dad asks me what makes me think I'm not catholic.
I tell him that I don't believe in some of the things the catholic church does.
He asks "like what?"
I say "Like praying to Mary."

My dad laughs and says "See, Protestants always use that. See, the way you are talking to us right now; you are a stubborn girl. They have 'molded' you. They've convinced you. This is not acceptable. You see, your brother and sister are not close to God, they do not attend church, But right now I don't know if I love you more than your sister or brother. To me, they seem more presentable"

That there, struck my heart. What they obviously meant was that they don't love me as much as my brother and sister.

My dad keeps talking and my mom lays there and keeps saying "Yeah, that's right." over and over and over again.

I would want to speak, but every time I did, my dad would say I'm being stubborn and molded.

He goes on to lecture me "The catholic church was founded by Christ, and all those other religions out there, they have been broken away from the catholic church just because of something that they don't believe in. In the catholic church, Jesus is the leader, but in the protestant church, the leaders are humans. They only limit their mind to the bible. Catholics have the bible and traditions. Protestants have hatred towards other religions, but mostly catholicism because that is largest religion. There are billions of catholics, but there are only one or two million protestants. On the news, there have been people who were from the 'broke away' religions and they started to come to catholicism. You know, I went to other 'congregrations' (other churches) to see what it was like. I was about to walk out of a church service because they called catholics 'bastards'. I was also almost convinced by your tito piping who is christian that we respect very much, but I saw that he was showing me differences, which showed hatred."

I was thinking.. that my dad was being a hypocrite because the way he was talking about protestants shows that he is showing hatred towards them, yet says that catholics respect other religions.

He keeps talking for an hour mostly just repeating himself and says that this is upsetting news, bad news, and he can't sleep now. Before I leave the room, they say bible study has to stop, and that I 'have' to get my hours done and that I will get confirmed.

In confirmation, we don't learn anything at all. And when we did try learning, it was of tradtion and about ourselves, about raising self esteem and such. They told us that if you don't want to be here, we don't have to be confirmed because that should be your choice, not your parents choice.

I feel I have to go back to hiding what I have always been hiding all over again. Now, the only good time to tell my parents again is 18. -_______- I can't call myself catholic if I don't believe in some of the things that the catholic church does.

I PRAISE GOD FOR GIVING ME THE COURAGE TO SPEAK TO MY PARENTS.
even though, I can't go anymore, I will continue to grow stronger in my faith, because it is Christ that ultimately matters. It is Him who should come first.
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. -John 14:6

REJUVENTATED

If you haven't already, you should read kristine's blog it really made me think of what Christ did for us.

Today was the opening night for the musical "Fall into the Arms of Love". I really like the last line, "Then come, just as you are. Jesus is waiting. You see, at the end of the arms of love, you'll find nail-pierced hands. Jesus loved you enough to die for you. And now, He wants to carry you from death to life."

Today was a big blessing for me, I got to hear the gospel and the gospel never gets old. Then, singing the two songs, "the stand" and "mighty to save". First time in a long time, I actually sang those songs to God.

PRAISE THE LORD.
because..
He rose and conquered the grave.. JESUS conquered the grave.

It's getting Hotter

..and hotter every year.

@ school; i had three tests, not bad. i only have a few homework and i am ecstatic that i can reach my toes!

After school, Nogales here we come again. It twas only me and Kathleen who went. I stayed inside Quiznos with Ceejay, Greg, Angelo, Ron, and Margiel! there was some funny "staring" stuff going on. Then, Ron and Greg played guitar. we just basically sat.

Margiel & I matched, on accident !

Then we went outside and Prince kept "psst!"-ing at me. Kathleen got her nikes down! I ended up holding everyones phone cause they told me to watch it. Margiel made up songs. We went to Bible Study, THANKS KUYA ALEX! We talked about our week.

Then, we got to CFBC and everyone went to go get ice cream so I hung out with Lidia and John until Kristine and Lily came. We sat outside and Chelsea came and brought Stephanie and Angela!

We sang Praise to the LORD! Then we shared our blessings, and went on with the lesson. We talked about external and internal gospel call, regeneration, and justification! Conversion takes faith and repentance. The most important thing we need in faith is personal trust! And by ephesians 2:8-9, it says that through grace you are saved, and not by works !

I Praise God for the meraculous things He has done for us!

First Day of Sophmore Year

I got there, and I couldn’t remember which locker was mine because I would always remember it by a little sticker next to my locker or the ketchup stain. I didn’t see the ketchup stain, and there was no sticker, so I remembered the number 4061, and I tried my combination. I then found out that it was 4068, the one next to it. I opened it, and I saw books in there, I thought it was like a freshmen’s book or something. I told Gail and she said that it was her books. I saw Kathleen and Laura!

Period One:
Z-7 Schultz Spanish 1. I sat down in any chair, and then I found out there was a seating chart, but I couldn’t find my name, so I told the teacher, and she told me that that the class was Spanish 3. I walked out and went a couple classes down to Z-5(?) Hernandez. Lanny and Audrey are in my class! The teacher seems really nice.

Period Two:
C-1 Kim Chemistry. I sat down with Audrey and Jessica and filled out stuff and listened to the teacher. She seems nice, but a little strict, and weird too. Her voice is soft and a little irritating.

Period Three:
D-3 Yamashiro Web Design. I’ve taken a different course before but it was in the same class. I saw Tanya, and our seats were next to each other because it was in alphabetical order.

Period Four:
P-3 Chalew English 2. I’ve never been to this side of the school. I saw Erica, Tanya, Steven, Priscilla, and Jimmy. I don’t understand Latin Roots. She gave us really small cut up index cards to write down our vocabulary. Sadly, I have to choose from a very small list of books to read.

Period Five:
Beginning Dance Tomlin. I did not know where to go. I went where all the rest of the PE kids went, to the stairs. I saw Breanna and Moanna. I felt so alone and I had to ask Kathleen where to go even though she was a freshmen. I ended up asking a teacher and went to the Dance Room. Gail and Lorraine are in my class. The teacher asked us if we were taking dance classes, and everyone who raised their hand went to Dellos.

Period Six:
E-11 tufenkjian Algebra 2. She’s nice, but the seating chart was confusing. I get to sit next to Tanya, Monica, Monica O., Luc, and Mark. Bryan’s in my class too, but he sits on the other side of the room. Everyone was looking at my book because they didn’t have theirs.

Praise God, for having friendly teachers.

Ask Me About God!

Kristine came over my house and we webcam-ed with Melissa. Kristine and I were fighting over the keyboard that we both fell onto my hamper and stuffed animals. Melissa’s grandma took us to Class 302 for shaved snow!

After, we walked around 99 Ranch and got food.

We sat down and thought of spreading the gospel. We wrote on notebook paper “Ask me about our Savior” Ask me about God” “Ask me about Christ”. Many people looked, but only one person asked. But, that was because he didn’t speak English. He only knew the words “ask me”. We tried explaining it to him, but he didn’t understand us much. He walked away and then came back, so we tried again. I showed him the word “God” on my sign, and he knew it so he made the sign of the cross. He guessed what our ethnicity we were. He guessed me right, and he insisted that Melissa was Filipino and Kristine was Chinese.

Ate Helen picked us up and we got to Church. We sang Praise and Worship, and then played an ice breaker game. High School sat outside and Kuya Jireh taught us. We learned about redemption. How, God chose us, because he loves us. Then, we got to talking if Christ died for the sins of the world and stuff. So, now I know that everyone in the word is entitled to freewill, but only those who believe and repent are saved. I got to go to in-n-out, since I haven’t gone in the longest time.

I praise God that Andrew invited Lidia to CFBC, who invited April and Kristine, who invited me, and everyone else. God works in many ways to save people.

Paint & Fun

Surprisingly, Ate Helen lives right next to Janelle and Laura! Ate Helen, Melissa, Kuya Alex, and I painted her studio room! We started with yellow on the walls, and then painted grass. I like it when Kuya Alex asks me questions because it’s like he wants to get to know me =]

This is the second time getting my period, and so far I haven’t gotten real PMS. I guess it’s the people I’ve hung out with lately are the kind that don’t get on your nerves. I have also been patient. I think that’s great, and I praise God for that.

Kuya Ian came and we left to Puente Hills Mall to eat at Courtside for Kuya Mike, who is leaving for D.C. It was half off and I didn’t have money, so I shared with Kuya Alex. After, we stood and walked around the mall. We saw Aj Rafael with his new black and pink hair.

We went to Kuya Jigger’s house to play taboo! It was a close game, but my team lost.

Later, I went with my sister and her boyfriend to 'Guppy House'. We got shaved ice and spicy popcorn chicken. YUM! the popcorn chicken was very spicy that i needed a lot of water. As i still had that burning feeling in my mouth, i looked at my cup and swallowed the last drop of water. I started to think about hell, that you will be thirsty and you wont be given even a drop of water. I am truly blessed, and i'm glad that i feel that i am growing in Christ.

'C' day!

Today is C day! C stands for: Carwash, Chalk Party, California, Coast, Catch Phrase, Conversations, Cupcakes, Chinese-ish Food, Cold Stuff. Christ

I praise God that Melissa kept saying ‘Praise God’ because it just makes you think and encourage you to praise Him even more!

Melissa slept over at my house. Ate Penny picked us up and we stopped by In-N-Out to get food. We arrive at her house and sit for a while. Then, we washed cars and listened to conversations about God. We got chalk out and wrote on the concrete.

We then, made our way to Irvine. In two cars, it was Benzer, Penny, Helen, Alex, Andrew, Derek, Ian, Melody, Melissa, and ME. A surprising incident happened in Kuya Alex’s car. We stood inside Trader Joe’s and I met Ate Melody. Then, we dropped Kuya Ian at work and went to Sprinkles. It was my very first time and it was recommended by Ate Helen to get the Red Velvet. It tasted amazing!

We picked up Kuya Ian, and then he had to deliver something. While waiting for Kuya Ian to deliver, we parked our cars, and hid behind trees and cars, while Kuya Alex hid inside the trunk of his car until he found us all. Then, we went to Panda Express and play indivisible catch phrase. We went to Mochilato for mochi, gelato, and shaved ice.

Came back to Ate Penny’s house and played basketball for a while and I watched John take pictures of a gigantic spider lurking in Ate Penny’s yard.

I praise God for this day; He gave me patience, which i haven't been having in a long time. I love the CFBC adults!
