WEEK AFTER WEEK

MONDAY
I went with my Dad to the AE retreat "parent" meeting. I couldn't go inside cause it was for parents only. Jason said I could wait outside. I thought I was going to be the only one because the rest of the youth were leaders. But, Brian said he got kicked out. We found a balloon. Then, everyone came together, like Stephanie, Kaysee, Alexa, Holly, Brian, Bryan, The Twins, Danny and Andrew. The balloon almost flew away, but I caught it. But, a little later it went "bye bye". We attempted to play Boom Chicka Boom Boom. We took pictures with Holly's phone. Then, Brian lifted me. Then, Bryan attempted to lift me. We danced throughout the whole area. Then, Piggy back race. Bryan could not take me, we dropped to the floor. Fun stuff.

WEDNESDAY

I matched Crystal Zeng! Laura was our photographer! Dress rehearsal for dance. Then, skit practice. Then, meeting. Then just doing gymnastic moves.

I had lunch with Kristine (BIRTHDAY GIRL(YESTERDAY)), her family, and Lidia. We played Ninja.

My partner didn't show up, so I messed up a lot, a lot. I fell doing my stall. Whatever. Thanks Kristen for the flower! Laura took Me, Emily, and Victoria to In-N-Out! YUM.

WITH ALL THIS DANCING

On thursday, we had our multicultural assembly. I have a few videos that I uploaded that I'd like to share!

Swing Club. I love how they did their little flips and twists. I went to the club meetings in the beginning of the year, but all we kept doing was the triple step, so I just left. Emily, Fiona, Kevin, and I think JJ is in this video.


HipHop club. Um, I remember their performance last year, and it wasn't so great. People were kind of "what are they doing?" They've improved.


Halo-Halo club. They start out by a traditional dance that involves candles. Of course, the candle light was fake. Then, it goes into Halo Halo Hip Hop with Bryan, Azzedine, Jason, Paige, and more.



Black Student Union. Mostly Hip Hop. Starts out with three girls with sharp movements. Janelle, Audrey, and Kathleen(?). Then, everyone starts running in and starts jerkin' till the end of the song.


Polynesian Club. The girls do their cutesy dance, with Celine and Felicia and others. Then, guys come out and stop their feet and slap their chests.

After school friday, hung out at the spot where everyone is. Take the bus to Nogales. Meet up with everyone and chill at the new spot "Chai Cafe". Cool, that guy working in there is somewhat famous.

I felt like a loner; everyone kept moving, and I just kept following. Angelo kept jerkin' every two seconds. And, everyone starts doing it as well. Jan starts to loosen up and not be that shy. Some guy got arrested for a couple of minutes, and then was released. I saw my sister's friend Cenen (sp?) going to Panda.

Kuya Mike picks me up. And we go get John who's at CVS. We get L&L. Kuya Mike blasts on Alicia Keys. Then, he tells me that I have to sing or else he won't move the car. But he does anyway, and I sing anyway. But he goes and tells everyone I was going crazy and pulling down the windows and pointing, but that was so him!

& Why am I so dark?

Anyways, I have a blessings. I got the highest quiz grade in Algebra II. Everyone was amazed because the smartest person in the class gets the highest grade. I praise God because I thought that it was hard, but I managed to get most of it right!

I do what I do

@ school:
i had a two tests in english; a latin roots test and a vocabulary test. I spent my lunch time in the E-building practicing in the reflection windows, with my group for Hip Hop Tryouts. i had a test in dance; a choreography test. I thought we were the worst group, i guess it was cause we all were not in sync and such. Our group got 4/5 but im betting that all the other groups had 5. Then, i had a test in algebra 2; i do not like graphing!

After school:
Went to the cafeteria. practiced over and over until we were up; numero tres. I messed up the first time, but i was in the back, so i was kinda thinking that they mostly watched the people in front first, and then we switched line and i did better. They told us that we couldnt leave, and i was anxious to know who made it. They called peoples names to go back and do it again. Then, they called peoples names again, and i was called. We did the dance again, twice. I wont find out if i make it or not until monday.

Wait:
My phone doesnt work. the past two phones broke and right when i got a new one, it isnt working right? Is God telling me something? i dont know, probably. We were the only ones sitting at the lunch tables and last years captain told us that if we didnt make it, its okay cause "were good" its just that juniors and seniors only have one chance or no more chances to make it if they dont make it this year. Then, kathleen fell asleep. We went to the front and got picked up by Kuya Jireh.

Bible Study:
Got there, and waited for it to start. Praise and worship. Blessings; then the lesson. We learned about the points of redemption. The perserverence. We must perservere till the end, if we dont, we are not truly saved. Kuya Jireh gave us a scenerio and it pretty much related to "kathleen" haha. So, he spoke of my favorite parable. How a sower plants seeds and it falls onto different surfaces, and it all relates to how some people just dont care, how some people are just caught up in wordly things, how some people grasp it but later lost faith, and how some people are able to perservere through it all.

Halo Halo Hip-Hop

Thursday:
Our group consists of: Me, Kristen, Krizzel, Marife, Michelle, and Narisa. We practiced during lunch time. Then, after school we practiced without Michelle and Kristine because they had choir, but they came later. We found out that we didnt have to do two eight counts, but three eight counts. We migrated to downstairs of the teen center to try and get it down. Michelle and Krizzel left, and we walked back to WHS to practice some more until i got picked up. Tryouts are tomorrow.

Wednesday:
Gail's not trying out anymore :O we added on like a few more seconds. everyone freestyled. Then, we got into groups to make our own two 8 counts. We have a group of six, and we havent started on anything! Lunch, tomorrow.. practice. I made up the two 8 counts, but i dont know if they'll consider it. I got home, and started on homework. I felt all stressed for the first time in my life; well not first time, but i definitely don't usually get stressed. It feels like Halo Halo Hip Hop is the only club i can join and nothing more because of all these workouts. Happy Birthday Michelle & Carmina!

Tuesday:
M.O.R.E meeting at lunch! I love kids!
Workshop after school. walked to teen center and only a few people were there. Ej was there, LOL! Stretch and start on the dance. It was "the cool kids - 88". I couldn't get the footwork at first, but then i got later. This one girl said i was good; i don't know.. but it gave me a boost in confidence. It was the most tiring day of my life. The guy helping us kept going 5.. 5.. 5.. 5,6,7,8. They made us keep doing it over and over and the dance isn't even over. Were going to add on more for tomorrows workshop. Kathleen came over, and i looked at slogans for her campaign.

Monday:
was the pre-workshop for the halo halo hip hop tryouts. I really think it can be a three person group for the tryouts: Me, Gail, Narisa. They made us get into three lines so we could freestyle. You couldn't even hear the music, so when it was 3:15 they said that we would do it tomorrow because no one would dance except for Kathleen and a couple of guys. But a lot of people didn't even leave, so they asked Me, Gail, and Narisa to freestyle privately first. It was nothing much; no one was really watching except for the people i didn't care to dance in front of, and two people from the halo halo cabinet.

First Day of Sophmore Year

I got there, and I couldn’t remember which locker was mine because I would always remember it by a little sticker next to my locker or the ketchup stain. I didn’t see the ketchup stain, and there was no sticker, so I remembered the number 4061, and I tried my combination. I then found out that it was 4068, the one next to it. I opened it, and I saw books in there, I thought it was like a freshmen’s book or something. I told Gail and she said that it was her books. I saw Kathleen and Laura!

Period One:
Z-7 Schultz Spanish 1. I sat down in any chair, and then I found out there was a seating chart, but I couldn’t find my name, so I told the teacher, and she told me that that the class was Spanish 3. I walked out and went a couple classes down to Z-5(?) Hernandez. Lanny and Audrey are in my class! The teacher seems really nice.

Period Two:
C-1 Kim Chemistry. I sat down with Audrey and Jessica and filled out stuff and listened to the teacher. She seems nice, but a little strict, and weird too. Her voice is soft and a little irritating.

Period Three:
D-3 Yamashiro Web Design. I’ve taken a different course before but it was in the same class. I saw Tanya, and our seats were next to each other because it was in alphabetical order.

Period Four:
P-3 Chalew English 2. I’ve never been to this side of the school. I saw Erica, Tanya, Steven, Priscilla, and Jimmy. I don’t understand Latin Roots. She gave us really small cut up index cards to write down our vocabulary. Sadly, I have to choose from a very small list of books to read.

Period Five:
Beginning Dance Tomlin. I did not know where to go. I went where all the rest of the PE kids went, to the stairs. I saw Breanna and Moanna. I felt so alone and I had to ask Kathleen where to go even though she was a freshmen. I ended up asking a teacher and went to the Dance Room. Gail and Lorraine are in my class. The teacher asked us if we were taking dance classes, and everyone who raised their hand went to Dellos.

Period Six:
E-11 tufenkjian Algebra 2. She’s nice, but the seating chart was confusing. I get to sit next to Tanya, Monica, Monica O., Luc, and Mark. Bryan’s in my class too, but he sits on the other side of the room. Everyone was looking at my book because they didn’t have theirs.

Praise God, for having friendly teachers.

Dance Production

Today was opening night for dance production. I got dropped off at Gail’s House and went off to see the Dance Production. My seat was Row B Seat 113.

It started with the dance team dancing to ‘Knock on Wood’ followed by other dances and then 2^nd period dance with my friend Kristen. It was a Hawaiian theme. Then solo and group dances. 4^th period dance with my friend Sarah with a fifties theme. I saw the montage of dances. Then I saw 3^rd period dance with RJ! I liked their costumes the best! (:
