I believe that scripture has authority. Through Christ is salvation; he has paid for my past present and future sins. I am thankful to know that God will never give me a trial I cannot handle. This is my faith.

Hey Joanna,
there are many verses in the Bible that say in Christ alone we can be saved like John 14:6 that says:
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Also look through:
Romans 6:19-21
Romans 3:23-26
Romans 6:23
Those are all great examples that it's in Christ alone that we are saved. I'll spread the word that you need verses. =D

Isaiah 53:6 foretells what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross; "the Lord [God the Father] has laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all."
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).

Yup, I'd go with John 14:6 as well. And if you're talking to someone who is a Bible believing Christian/Catholic, you don't need more than one "argument," because anything written in the Bible is "profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Especially since John 14:6 is not only written in the Bible, but uttered by Christ Himself! :)

Joanna, I think you are doing great on your own. Courage, the Priest is just man, and as you said above for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Faith, God will get you through this. Perseverance, you will only come out stronger when you come out of this.
